Three government entities have joined forces to provide you with a fun and educational companion that allows you to follow your route on SHOM charts, receive guidance in reading maritime signals, learn about regulations, and discover marine biodiversity.
Two Nav&Co usage modes are available: InfoNautic (navigation) and Discovery.
1/ In InfoNautic mode, selected by default, you can choose to display different elements on the nautical chart: navigation warnings and notices to mariners, landmarks, fixed buoys, floating buoys, regulations, and seagrass beds. (Note: official nautical documents are the only guarantee of your safety). You can also record your navigation track. You will find it in your navigation log. You are notified when you enter a marine protected area, regulated zones, and areas subject to navigational warnings.
2/ In Discovery mode, you can explore the marine environment using points of interest. These provide access to numerous photos and information on biodiversity. You can display various elements on your map: marine protected area sectors, regulations, birdlife, marine life, the seabed, and best practices.

Nav&Co was created through a collaboration between the French Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service (SHOM), the French Office for Biodiversity (OFB), and the Directorate General for Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Aquaculture (DGAMPA). These three public entities, committed to your safety, the health of our oceans, and the sustainability of recreational boating, have combined their expertise to help boaters gain a better understanding of the environments around them.
