Market snapshot 15 iOS apps Estimated monthly App Store revenue, ratings and freshness signals from the current catalog.

This is the first public research snapshot prepared for GetAppValue. It does not claim to rank every app in the App Store. Instead, it looks at the 15 iOS apps currently selected for our initial indexable catalog and shows the latest estimate available in our data.

Snapshot: 8 August 2026. Revenue figures are model-based estimates of monthly App Store revenue, not company revenue or founder-reported MRR. Each application page shows its own update date and methodology context.

What this small group makes clear

High revenue and high review volume are related, but they are not the same thing. YouTube has by far the largest review base in this snapshot, while Military Retirement sits at the top of this selected list with a much smaller review count. That is why a single popularity signal cannot explain an app business. Product price, subscription design, audience intent and the store's role in the wider business all matter.

The range of products is also useful. Work software, fitness, marketplaces, finance, journaling, brain training, AI and media are all present. A useful research product should let a founder move from a broad question such as "what earns in iOS?" to a smaller comparison of apps that solve a similar problem. The individual pages above are the next step, not an afterthought.

How to use the snapshot

Open an app that is relevant to your market, then compare it with the related apps and category pages on GetAppValue. Do not copy a revenue number into a pitch deck as if it were reported financials. Use it as a starting point for a product question: what is this app selling, who is paying, and which nearby apps are proving the same demand?

For example, ChatGPT, Google Drive and Microsoft Teams all serve work-oriented users, but they have different product surfaces and monetization paths. The value of placing them in one research story is not to declare a winner. It is to give a founder a factual starting set of applications to inspect.

Method and next updates

GetAppValue's catalog has an explicit publication gate: an app needs enough complete, current data before it is made indexable. The revenue field shown here is a model estimate and can change as new store data is collected. Read the methodology before relying on any figure, and check each app page for its latest observed update date.

Future snapshots will focus on a single theme at a time - for example AI tools, finance apps or a category with unusual review momentum. That is how the research hub will steadily open the catalog: one useful question, a small group of real applications, then deeper pages for anyone who wants to investigate further.
